Will Poland benefit after changes in world economy?



Director of the Polish Economic Institute talks about the incoming changes in the world economy. He explains how Poland can benefit from them.


In his interview with radio Wnet.fm, Piotr Arak points out that at the economic forum in Davos, the need to create a new form of international dialogue was raised. Present organisations, which were to develop this dialogue, are increasingly losing their importance.


The World Health Organisation is no longer as important as it used to be. This year, the G20 summit will also not take place. Participants gathered in Davos strongly underline that there is no forum for international debate – says Arak.


Another essential topic raised at the International Economic Forum is the issue of reorganisation of world production. Politicians tend to opt for moving industrial production to the countries close to the West in terms of ideology. Russia and China would lose on it, but Poland could gain. – predicts director of the Polish Economic Institute.

Our country might become an attractive place to invest, what is more, in the east of Poland, for obvious reasons, nobody will built plants. It is in our interest to finish the war in Ukraine as soon as possible, but for foreign companies, safety issue will not be the most essential issue. Access to energy, especially from renewable source, is more important.
