Content Partners: Institute of Central Europe

The Institute of Central Europe conducts research concerning Central and Eastern Europe. This topic area has been explored in Lublin since the beginning of the 1990s. This field of studies emerged in the course of extensive experience in academic centres in Lublin: the Catholic University of Lublin and Maria Curie-Skłodowska University.

The mission of the Institute of Central Europe is substantive support for the foreign policy of the Republic of Poland by conducting high-quality research and analytical activities and providing Polish stakeholders with reliable knowledge about social, political, economic, and cultural processes taking place in Central Europe and its vicinity, and about the place and role of Poland in these processes.

The Institute is a content partner of the panel "The Three Seas Initiative countries in the face of Russia's aggression against Ukraine", which will take place on the first day of the Congress, i.e. May 16, 2023.

The expert panel is expected to provide an opportunity to summarize the positions of selected 3SI countries on Russian aggression against Ukraine and possible fields of cooperation within the 3SI with the country, but also to discuss the challenges facing the format itself in the context of the war, which primarily includes security issues in the region and the economic and energy crisis.

The latest news and information about the preparations and agenda of the third edition of the Three Seas Local Government Congress can be found at: www.congress.lubelskie.pl and on social media.
