Jarosław Stawiarski

Marshal of the Lubelskie Voivodeship

An experienced self-government official and politician.
A graduate in history at the Humanistic Department of the University of Marie Curie Skłodowska in Lublin, an alumnus of postgraduate studies in management.

He was a teacher, headmaster, councillor and a deputy mayor in his hometown Kraśnik. Member of National Parliament for 4 terms. He had served as the Secretary of State in the Ministry of Sport and Tourism, where as the Vice-Minister had been responsible mainly for financial support of sports infrastructure. Under his management about half a billion PLN was annually spent on new sports facilities. He also supervised the National Stadium, the Central Sports Centre and the Institute of Sport. He is a member of the bureau of the European Committee of Regions and the president of the Presidential Council for Self-Government.

On 21st November 2019 elected for the Marshal of the Lubelskie Voivodeship. Passionate about sport both in private and professional terms, always present at the most important sports events. Supports Polish national teams in different disciplines.

Director of the Digital Forum of the Union of Entrepreneurs and Employers (ZPP)

She gained experience at the Digital Poland think-tank, where she focused on promoting knowledge regarding the role of innovation and digitization in the country’s economic development. She is the author of numerous publications on the topic of the new technology sector in Poland. She completed an internship at the Robert Schuman Institute in the European Parliament in the Communication Directorate General for Internal Policy. She is a graduate of the University of Warsaw, with degrees in Journalism and Media Studies, as well as International Relations.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Bulgaria

born in Sofia, graduate of the University of Economics in Prague. Since 1992, associated with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bulgaria. She headed various departments in the ministry, including: Department of Economic Relations. Ambassador Ganeva was Deputy Head of Mission and Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy of Bulgaria in Prague (2005-2008), Ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria in Slovakia (2012-2016), and from May 19, 2021, she has been the Ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria in Poland.

Vice-Dean for Education at the Faculty of Management, Head of the Department of Quantitative Methods in Management and Member of the GRAI Working Group for the Development Strategy of Artificial Intelligence in Poland, Lublin University of Technology

Obtained his PhD from the AGH University of Science and Technology in Kraków. He is the head of the Department of Quantitative Methods in Management at the Lublin University of Technology and the vice-dean for education at the Faculty of Management of the Lublin University of Technology. He specializes in issues related to measurement uncertainty, especially in acoustics, and the use of machine learning and artificial intelligence in industrial tomography. Author of over 30 scientific publications and one monograph.

President of the Management Board of the Digital Poland Association

President of the Board of the Digital Poland Association, which has been active in the market for 18 years. Member of the Council for Digitization under the Minister of Digitization. Affiliated with Digital Europe, an organization of Europe’s largest ICT sector associations, where he serves as a Board Member. He is the initiator of nationwide debates related to issues of digitization, cyber security, 5G and amendments to laws such as copyright, tax, environmental protection and public procurement. Long-time manager in the consumer electronics and IT industry, actively involved in the development and promotion of the digitization process in Poland. He effectively supports substantive and reliable discussion in the areas of companies – members of the Cyfrowa Poland Association, which are a significant part of the RTV and IT industry investing in Poland.

Prior to joining the Presidential Administration he was a member of Poland’s Foreign Service with assignments in Libya, New Zealand and Qatar. He is a graduate of the University of Gdansk (Political Science; English Literature; International Trade).

Dariusz Czerwinski is a professor in the Department of Applied Computer Science at the Faculty of Mathematics and Information Technology. His current research interests include the application of artificial intelligence algorithms for detection and classification of digital data, multidimensional data analysis, sensor networks and applications of the Internet of Things.

He has authored more than 100 publications, one monograph and co-authored a patent. Since 2020, he has served as Vice-Rector for General Affairs and Development at the Lublin University of Technology.

prof. Ph.D. n. med. Robert Rejdak

Vice-Rector for Internationalization, Digitalization and Promotion

Prof. dr hab. n. med. Robert Rejdak is a graduate of the Medical Faculty of the Medical Academy in Lublin. He obtained the title of doctor of medical science in 2000. He obtained his habilitation in 2009, and the title of professor of medical science in 2013. He holds a basic (2002) and clinical (2004) diploma from the International Council of Ophthalmology. In 2023, he received an honorary doctorate from the National Medical University of Lviv.
Since 2011, he has been the head of the General Ophthalmology Clinic, and since 2021, the Chair and Clinic of General and Children’s Ophthalmology at the Medical University of Lublin. Since 2011, he has been a lecturer and coordinator of practical training in the field of vitreoretinal surgery at the European School for Advanced Studies in Ophthalmology (ESASO) in Lugano, Switzerland.
In clinical and research work, prof. Rejdak specializes in the diagnosis and surgical treatment of cataracts, vitreous body and retina as well as eyeball injuries. He has performed over 35,000 operations. In 2013, he participated in the first artificial iris implantation surgery in Poland. In 2016, he was the first in Poland to perform Scharioth macular lens implantation and hybrid vitrectomy. He is a co-founder and manager of the Supraregional Eye Injury Treatment Center at SPSK No. 1 in Lublin. In 2017, the Department of General Ophthalmology headed by prof. Robert Rejdak was admitted as the only ophthalmology center in the country to the European Network of Reference Centers in the field of rare eye diseases ERN-EYE .
Prof. Rejdak published in the most prestigious national and foreign journals, e.g. in: Graefe’s Archive for Clinical and Experimental Ophthalmology”, “Acta Ophthalmologica”, “Retina”, “Investigative Ophthalmology & Visual Science” and “Klinice Oczna”. Co-founder, the editor-in-chief of the Ophthalmology Journal. Promoter of 10 doctorates, supervisor of 4 habilitations and over a dozen specializations, editor of 8 monographs from the Library of Ophthalmology Practice series, co-editor of translations into Polish of two renowned specialist monographs in the field of retinology: “Retina and vitreous body” and “Angio OCT in everyday ophthalmological practice”. Prof. Rejdak scientific achievement consists of publications with a total IF = 319.531 and H = 20.
In 2019, Prof. Robert Rejdak became the president of the Association of Polish Ophthalmology Surgeons. He is also the chairman of the University Council of UKSW in Warsaw, he is a member of the Polish Society of Ophthalmology and the American Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology (ARVO).

Piotr Kulicki is a professor in the Department of Foundations of Computer Science at the Faculty of Philosophy, Catholic University of Lublin. His current research interests include the application of logic to knowledge representation, the integration of artificial intelligence methods into scientific research across various fields, and philosophical reflections on artificial intelligence systems. Since 2023, he has served as the director of the Centre for Human Oriented Artificial Intelligence at the Catholic University of Lublin.

Paweł Karczmarek received his Ph.D. degree in mathematics from the University of Gdańsk, Poland (2010) and habilitation degree (D.Sc.) in computer science from Systems Research Institute of Polish Academy of Sciences (2019). Now he is professor at Lublin University of Technology, Poland and head of Department of Computational Intelligence. His current research areas are Computational Intelligence, anomaly detection, multi-criteria decision making theory, and pattern recognition. He is an author of over 90 research papers and one monograph.

Head of the Subdepartment of Computer Science in the Department of Applied Mathematics and Computer Science at the University of Life Sciences in Lublin

He is the head of the Subdepartment of Computer Science in the Department of Applied Mathematics and Computer Science at the University of Life Sciences in Lublin. He is educator and researcher at the university for over 25 years. He teaches programming in languages such as C++, Java, Python and Kotlin, database design and management, and spatial analysis in GIS software. His research interests include the application of computer science, mathematics and statistics in the life sciences, including computer modelling and process optimisation. One of his interests is the use of machine learning methods including artificial neural networks to monitor the state of the environment, assessing the impact of climate change on plant and animal habitats using remote sensing methods. This provides a better understanding of ecosystem dynamics and predicts future changes, which is crucial for environmental protection and adaptation planning. This combination of advanced information technology with ecology and environmental protection opens up new opportunities for sustainable management of natural resources.

A graduate of the Warsaw University of Technology with a specialisation in software engineering, he started his career at IBM Poland and then developed his skills at LOGIX Poland as a software engineer and system architect. In 2008 he joined Proacta sp. z o.o., where he worked as CTO, and in 2024 he took over the position of CEO of Proacta SA. He is also the creator of the innovative DataBION platform, which is used for advanced analysis of medical data in conjunction with genetic data. He has also developed systems to support diagnostic and therapeutic processes in breast cancer treatment. His passion for new technologies and their application in business solutions makes him a visionary in his field.

Director of the Center for Artificial Intelligence and Computer Modeling, Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin

Data scientist, sociologist, entrepreneur. Head of the Center for Artificial Intelligence and Computer Modeling at UMCS. Completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Interdisciplinary Centre for Mathematical and Computational Modelling at the University of Warsaw. Principal investigator for research projects funded by the National Science Centre (NCN) and the Operational Programme Intelligent Development (POIR) (including consortia: DARIAH, European Social Survey). Implements solutions based on artificial intelligence methods, mainly in the area of natural language processing (NLP) for Polish and international technology companies. Leads the technology startup SZOP (Advanced Psychological Care System), which is developing an intelligent solution to support the identification of developmental disorder symptoms among children. His research interests include the impact of digital technologies on the structure and functioning of contemporary societies, including people’s ability to maintain relationships with others.

Iva Lopižić is an assistant professor at the Department of Administrative Science, Faculty of Law, University of Zagreb.

She is a member of the Institute for Public Administration and the Central Eastern European Society of Administrative Sciences. She has been a member of the Croatian Academy of Legal Sciences since February 2019. She is the author and co-author of more than thirty scientific and professional papers and has participated in conferences in the country and abroad. She participated in four projects. She was in the organizing committee of the domestic scientific and professional meeting Normalization of the status of public servants – a solution or a trap, and she is the co-editor of the proceedings of this meeting. She won the Eugen Pusić Award for the work of the best young scientist in 2019 with her work The Role of Deconcentrated State Administration: From Integrative and Implementation to Coordinative-Planning Role. Her areas of scientific interest include deconcentration and decentralization, performance of public affairs in territorial units, local self-government, inspection supervision and public officials.

Born in 1965 in Gerona, Spain. Professor in the Chair of Hispanic Affairs, Politics and International Relationships of The John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin. He is author of a dozen of books and around one hundred scientific publications between papers and articles. He was a commissioned officer in the Spanish Army. He also worked in a private company as a safety coordinator during the construction of the Spanish-French high speed railway Barcelona-Perpignan.

Music director of the Lublin Opera

He graduated with honours from the Department of Symphony and Opera Conducting at the Academy of Music in Kraków. He also studied at the Conservatorio Giuseppe Verdi di Milano and the Accademia Musicale Chigiana in Siena. His extensive repertoire includes symphonic, oratorio and opera works from various eras, from the Baroque to the present day. Guest conductor of the Lviv National Opera and Lviv Philharmonic, he is well acquainted with the Ukrainian musical environment.

Graduate of the Academy of Music in Wrocław. She has developed her career both in Poland and abroad, taking part in numerous tours in Belgium, the Netherlands and Spain, as well as performances in Greece, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Portugal and the USA. She has over 20 leading opera and operetta roles in her repertoire. Half Greek, she works closely with the Odysseas Greek Society in Poland, promoting Greek tradition and culture (including the figure of Maria Callas).

He was educated at the Catholic University of Lublin in Lublin, the Feliks Nowowiejski Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz, the Polish Academy of Sciences in Warsaw and the University of Central Lancashire in Preston (UK). For years, he has been creating and implementing cultural projects, primarily in the field of music, theatre, literature and visual arts. He co-created, among others, the Festival of Traditional and Avantgarde Music “Codes” in Lublin and the ‘Misteria Paschalia’ festival in Krakow.

Owner of the Giełda Eventów, an event agency that has organised nearly 350 business events for customers for twelve years. As the founder and president of the Responsible Business Club, together with the team, she has been creating one of the largest business organisations in the region, connecting and promoting entrepreneurs for their activities in the area of CSR (corporate social responsibility). The company has gained seven awards and two distinctions. One of the distinctions is the Medal of the Marshal of the Lubelskie Voivodeship and the Personality of the Year 2022 in the business category in the Lublin District, organised by Kurier Lubelski (Lubelskie daily news). 
An economist by profession, she graduated in management from the Faculty of Economics of Maria Curie-Skłodowska University with a specialisation in Marketing and Finance and Accounting. During her studies, she was an active member of KNE UMCS (the Scientific Club of Economists) and ZUSS UMCS (Student Council), where she co-organised events such as Otrzęsiny and Kozienalia (students days) and sat on the board of the nationwide Young Lewiatan Forum, where she became an Honorary Member. Currently,she is a member of the Provincial Coordination Team for the implementation of the Integrated Skills Strategy 2030 in the Lubelskie Voivodeship.

She is a member of the Association of Theater Directors. A native of Lublin, she has been awarded the Medal of the 550th Anniversary of the Lublin Voivodeship.

Fashion designer, owner of the TOKARZ DESIGN Polska and co-owner of TOKARZ DESIGN LLC.

Graduate of the Łódź University of Technology – Faculty of Material Technologies and Textile Design as well as the “Université de la Mode” – Fashion and Design.

Worked as a fashion designer for numerous well-known Polish fashion brands. Participated in many fashion shows in Poland and abroad, e.g. Art and Craft Festival Philadelphia, Fashion Show Trenton, Fashion Show New York. Awarded the main prize in fashion competitions, e.g. “Perłowa Kreacja” and “Prowokator Roku” in the Lublin Region.  Honored by the Dean of the Łódź University of Technology for her achievements and representing the university. Since 2010, she has been creating her own clothing brand. Together with her sister Aneta Tokarz-Matys, she promotes the brand in New York, where she regularly participates in individual fashion shows. For several years now she has been co-organizer of the prestigious event “Gala Mody i Biznesu” in Lublin.

Vice-Rector for Science and International Co-operation, University of Life Sciences in Lublin

Vice-Rector for Science and International Cooperation of the University of Life Sciences in Lublin, scientist and university manager. He graduated from the prestigious program of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education “Top 500 Innovators – Science. Management. Commercialization” at the University of California, Berkeley in the United States, and “Leaders in University Management” at the Technical University of Munich (TUM) in Germany. Lecturer, scholarship holder and participant in many programs and internships, at renowned universities, e.g., in Australia, Canada, Slovakia, Serbia, Isreal and China. Expert at the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT). Author/co-author of many scientific publications from the so-called Philadelphia List. Participant in international and national training programs on food and nutrition, and dietary supplementation. Since 2009, international lecturer (Spain, Greece, France, Turkey, Netherlands, Lithuania, Estonia, Czech Republic) on food technology and human nutrition under the Erasmus Teaching Staff Mobility program. As a researcher, he works on improving the functional properties of food products, mainly dairy products; designing new products and dietary supplements for athletes and physically active people.

Marek Wojciechowski

Vice-Marshal of the Lubelskie Voivodeship

Master’s degree in law and administration from the Faculty of Law, Canon Law and Administration of The John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin. He completed postgraduate managerial studies in EU funds management, as well as Master of Business Administration at The Lublin University of Technology.

In his career, he served as Director of the National Support Center for Agricultural in Lublin and Director of the Agricultural Market Agency in Lublin. As Plenipotentiary of the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, he was responsible for the successful merger of agricultural agencies in the Lubelskie region. He currently serves as an expert on EU funds (Central Expert Database of the Ministry of Funds and Regional Development). Since 2010 he has been a councilor of the Lublin Voivodeship. During this period he was, among others, Chairman of the Audit Committee, Chairman of the Committee on Regional Development and Foreign Cooperation, and Vice-Chairman of the Lublin Voivodeship Assembly.

Awarded the Presidential Bronze Cross of Merit for his work for local communities. For years he has served as Vice President of the Regional Association “At the Sources of the Ciemięga River”, and sits on the Social Council of the Railway Spa Hospital in Nałęczów.

Waldemar Gustaw

Dean of the Faculty of Food Sciences and Biotechnology, University of Life Sciences in Lublin

Prof. Waldemar Gustaw is a graduate in Food Technology and Human Nutrition at the Agricultural University of Lublin. In 2001, he obtained a doctoral degree, and in 2009, and habilitation in the field of food and nutrition technology at the Faculty of Food Technology of the Agricultural University of Krakow. In 2014, he obtained the title of professor of agricultural sciences. Head of the Department of Plant Food Technology and Gastronomy. Vice-Dean for Student Affairs and Teaching in the years (2012-2021) and from 2021, Dean of the Faculty of Food Sciences and Biotechnology. Member of the Committee of Food Sciences and Nutrition of the Polish Academy of Sciences.

The main research directions are: lactic fermentation in food technology (dairy, vegetable and mushroom products), bioactive substances in food of plant origin.

Paweł Krajmas

President of the Management Board of the Polish Association of Processors and Producers of Ecological Products "Polish Ecology"

Paweł Krajmas is an entrepreneur and co-founder and president of a producers’ association. He graduated from the Agricultural Mechanization Technical School in Dukla in 1990 and the Agricultural University in Lublin, Faculty of Production Engineering, majoring in Agricultural and Forest Technology in 1995. From 2002 to 2004, he continued his education at the Agricultural University in Lublin, where he completed postgraduate studies in quality management in food production.

From 1992 to 1995, he ran his own company, and then, until 2015, he managed the “Jasiołka” Meat Plant in Dukla, which he co-founded. The company specializes in the production of traditional sausages without preservatives, based on old recipes, which have gained recognition from conscious consumers and numerous awards.

He is also active in industry associations, including as president of the National Association of Processors and Producers of Organic Products “Polska Ekologia”. He is involved in promoting organic food on the international stage.

He values the ease of making contacts and is always willing to help others. He is passionate about survival, sailing, skiing, and mountain hiking. His most significant achievements include adapting old sausage recipes to modern times and patenting Carpathian bacterial cultures.

Prof. Dr hab. inż. Piotr Kacejko

Prof. Ph.D. engineer Piotr Kacejko is a graduate of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the Lublin University of Technology. He obtained a doctorate in technical sciences and then a habilitated doctorate at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the Warsaw University of Technology. In 2006, he received the title of professor of technical sciences. He specializes in the analysis of power systems. He was an intern at the University of Glasgow. He was a member of the Supervisory Board of PGE Dystrybucja in 2017-2020. In 2006, he became the head of the Department of Electrical Power Engineering. In 2012, he was elected rector of the Lublin University of Technology, and in 2016 he was re-elected for a second term. He is the author of several books and over 200 articles in magazines and materials, as well as several dozen reports for energy units.
